Missing data

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeDue to an issue with the server, there is no data available from the DSRT from 31 May 2011 to 06 June 2011.

The issue has been corrected and the DSRT is collecting data normally as of 07 June 2011.

New Radio Telescope Graph Feature

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeI've added some code to the graphing function of the radio telescope that puts a green R and S at the approximate time of the start(R) and end (S) of astronomical twilight. On the dates where no R or S are visible (during part of the summer) the sun is not more than 18 degrees below the horizon here in Calgary. On the dates where only one letter is visible, the times are virtually identical.

Telescope down time

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeFor some reason the deamon that reads data for the telescope shut down on 04 Sep 2007. I did not discover it until today so there is no data from mid 04 Sep 2007 until 18 Sep 2007 (UTC). The deamon is back up and seems to be running fine.

Easier Browsing

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeI've added a "Previous Day" and "Next Day" links to the small graph page. This makes browsing easier and makes it easier to follow trends. Enjoy!

New antenna and calibration

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeA new 18m long antenna was installed on 09 Sep 2006 at 05:30 UTC. Calibration was completed by 06:15 UTC. Data between 04:30 and 06:15 UTC is unreliable.

Recalibration performed.

Daedalus Solar Radio TelescopeThe telescope was shut down and recalibrated to eliminate noise on 04 September 2005 between 06:24:20 UTC and 07:00:26 UTC.

Data between these times will be unreliable.

Data after 07:00:26 UTC on 04 September will be at a lower gain than prior to that time. This will eliminate some of the noise that the telescope has been picking up.
