Here at Castle Evil I get a fair amount of comment spam. Not really a big issue as I tend to keep on top of it with the help of some software that runs with Geeklog. The only time it's really an issue is when I've gone away for a few days and don't have net access. This is an issue because I then rely on the software to find the spam. Unfortunately, after returning from my visit with my mum in Penticton thiw long weekend, the anti-spam software went a little nuts and deleted a bunch of non-spam comments. I have restored most of these from the backup but since I haven't done a backup since my return, comments from the month of July have been lost. Just thought I'd let you know where your comments went, the hapless victims in the war on spam.

For those of you who tried to check the site yesterday, it was down. Shaw changed the IP while I was at work and I didn't get the chance to change it on the server till I got home. Things are back to normal now, or at least as normal as it gets.

As I am moving, this server will be unavailable on 20 November 2005 from 00:00 to 15:00 as I move the server to the new house.

In my continuing saga of spewing forth my opinion on these pages, I\'ve added a new section. This new section contains my letters to the editor and to politicans. I won\'t be putting these letters on the main front page, so you\'ll have to click on the Jason letters link under the Topics heading on the left.

Those of you coming in from Livejournal may want to click on the Home link under the Topics heading. This will let you see the whole main blog site, including any polls and new things that you might be missing with just looking at the articles!
