Welcome to Evilness My aching back....
Since spring has finally decided to show up here at Castle Evil, I was able to do some yard work yesterday. So I raked the yard to get rid of the dead grass, hindered only by the rake breaking and a trip to the hardware store to replace it. The job got better after that since I had a more appropriate rake for the task. So after four and a half hours (I have a big lawn) I was finally done and spent the rest of the evening doing laundry and aching. I'm still aching today, though not nearly as much as last night or as was expecting. I need to get more exercise....
New Toy!
In January my trusty Dell notebook died. Specifically, the power connector to the mother board stopped working so that I had no way to plug the computer in or recharge the battery. This, of course, rendered the machine unusable. So I have been reduced to sneaking blog entries on my computer at work during down times or on my desktop at home. Well no more! As of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a new MacBook.
A grand day out!
Today Mrs. Evil and myself spent the afternoon at the Calgary Zoo. Now we have been to the Zoo before but generally only for Zoolights, which is a good reason to go to the Zoo to begin with. Though by going in the afternoon we were able to look at the exhibits. We got to see:
I'm Being Sued!
So if you recall I mentioned that some lawyer claimed I owed him $3000 with respect to the sale of my house. Well, this lawyer has served me with papers for a law suit on Friday (only three days after getting notification of the money in the first place.
Off I Go...
Well I'm off to beautiful Sault Ste. Marie for National Cadet Biathlon where I will be one of the officials. Mrs. Evil will be dropping me off a the airport this morning and I'll be on my way!
Long, long weekend.
It's time for an I had toast, it was crunchy post. I, like most others had a long weekend this past weekend. Though really my weekend started two days earlier than other. First, I had teachers' convention on Thursday and Friday. Though technically work, it doesn't really seem like it while you're trolling the trade show and sitting through sessions. Most of the sessions were OK, but a couple were quite good.
Family part deux.
Some of you may remember when I discussed my attempt to contact my biological mother. Well, yesterday I received a reply. A letter arrived confirming that I have the right person.
