If you're an American, write your congresscritters and tell them of your displeasure with the way things are.

If you're in another country, write whatever elected official you need to to prevent this from happening in your country.

In failing that, get out and vote! It's the single most important thing you can do to try to change things with government. Ask your candidates where they stand on the issue and vote for the one that is closest to your point of view (or at the very least, the one that offends you the least).

Be warned, activity like this could get you labled as a troublemaker by those trying to implement the changes!
