Toffee and Mars Rice Krispie Squares
Ingredients
- 1 pound butter
- 4 Mars (TM) Bars (52 g each)
- 4 MacIntosh's Toffe (TM) bars (if you can find them). If you can't find these use this butter toffee recipe which is quick and easy. You'll need about 220 grams (about half) of the toffee the recipe makes.
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Rice Krispies (TM) of course
Melt all but 1/4 cup of the butter over medium heat then add the toffee and Mars Bars. Stir continuously until all is melted and then continue to stir until the mixture is uniform.
Add Rice Krispies. Use as much as needed (I just judge how much). You will use most of a regular (not family) sized box.
Pour the mixture into a lightly buttered pan and flatten out. Put aside to cool
Topping:
Melt the 1/4 cup of butter put aside from the squares over medium low heat. Add the chocolate chips and sugar. Stir continuously till the chocolate chips melt and the mixture becomes uniform. Once a uniform mixture is made, pour and spread over the squares.
Cut and serve!
