Murderous Conservatives

Jason ramblingA couple of weeks ago I posted a poll here at Evilness on how the families of those executed in error by the state should be compensated for having their loved ones murdered by the state. Now not a lot of votes have come in, but those that have have been, well, scary. People are actually voting for the "Nothing, the bastard was probably guilty of something." option. Now I can only assume that these are Conservative types which says something to the mindset of the average Conservative. First is the bloodlust that seems to permeate their being. Despite being allegedly opposed to murder, they're A-OK with it if the state does it, even when the state murders innocent people. It means that they'd like the state to murder anyone accused of a crime, regardless of guilt or innocence. I suppose it mean that they also wouldn't mind it being one of their own family members, after all they've got to be guilty of something.

It further shows that, for Conservatives, accountability is for other people. Since it would presumably be a Conservative government doing the murdering and Conservatives doing the convicting, suddenly it's not important that the people responsible for murdering the innocent person be held to account for it. It would seem that Conservatives truly believe that indeed "rules are for other people". The fact that they can maintain this cognitive dissonance in their little brains probably explains their bloodlust.

So the question the rest of us have to ask is do we want these sociopaths running the country? Conservatives and their supporters have no compunction about having the state murder innocent people and having those doing the murdering not being accountable for their actions. Then again what do you expect from people who can't even follow a simple law such as the speed limit.
