It's Interesting Who Comes To Visit.
Here at Castle Evil I maintain this blog on my own server. Call it a hobby. It also means that I get to peruse the logs here every now and then to see who's been by. Generally it's people visiting here, or my wife's blog or my model railroad site. For example, someone from a US military address (iraq.centcom.mil) came to look at my model railroad site. What has been interesting, is the visits from Government of Canada sites. So far this month the Privy Council Office popped by to look at my article on Dianne Haskett's parachuting into a London nomination. Environment Canada to look at my article on David Phillips. The Parliament of Canada was also in on the act, looking at Saskatchewan Conservatives as well as an article on the Calgary West Nomination Scandal.
Now these visits probably mean nothing, some civil servant surfing the web during their break. It could also be that the Harper government is concerned with people who are in opposition to it's plans and ideas and wants to see what they're saying. Heck, I wouldn't put it past them to be starting a list of opposition voices so that they can be silenced at some future point. In any event it's interesting what one finds when one reads the access logs.
