A dark age is a comin'
The problem, of course, is that many of the newly elected Conservatives here in Canada hold many of the same views as Bush and his cohorts. That means that soon in Canada, grants to research that doesn't follow what some ancient tract has to say will dry up. Actual advancement in science and knowledge will grind to a halt, and then slide backwards. Hopefully here in Canada these wingnuts will scare the voter in non-Alberta Canada away from the Tories for years.
The problem is, of course, that the US public needs to tire of Bush and his ilk in sufficient numbers that even vote rigging can't win the GOP an elections. How long this will take is the question. The mid-term elections will be interesting for sure.
