What a week it has been.
It's been quite a week here at Castle Evil. First off, it looks like Mrs. Evil and myself have purchased a new house. One that is larger than our current townhouse. It's only a couple of blocks from where we are now and is on a quiet cul-de-sac. That was Sunday/Monday. I've missed most of this week from work due to one nasty cold (I'm much better now, thank you). I was in to work briefly on Monday to set up the new batch of clients in school, and Wednesday to clear out some paperwork. Of course I have to get sick the week we have the annual Alberta Education September 30th headcount. There's got to be a better way to fund school, especially small special settings than to count the number of bodies you can cram in on one arbitrary day. I say this with the knowledge that most schools begin a wholesale withdrawal of students on October 1. Ether way, it made my Friday a busy one.
Speaking of Friday, I had to nip out of work for a couple of hours for the new home inspection. The inspector was quite thorough and we didn't discover anything major.
It's now Saturday and I'm up waiting for my dad-in-law to come over to work on some trim around Mrs. Evil's office (making it look pretty for selling this place) as well as a contractor who will be repairing the water stain on the ceiling of the living room. Yes, I've fixed the leak that caused it, thank you very much, as well as a bunch of other things I've been putting off, selling is quite the impetus. The selling of the townhouse is also the final condition on our sale.
Anyhow, enough of the “I had toast, it was crunchy” post, back to more insightful posts later.
Anyone want to buy a townhouse?
