The impression I\'m getting with the whole Ward 10 election scandal is that the provincial government doesn\'t see it as that important. We are told that the inspection will get to the bottom of the issue, but we now find out that those who were allegedly involved won\'t even be interviewed. It would seem that the provincial government has the same cavalier attitude towards the democratic process that those who were responsible for the voting irregularities. I wonder if those who were accused were not loyal Progressive Conservative Party members if the inspection would have been more vigorous or even a public inquiry. It makes me sad to see the democratic institutions in this province are heading the way they are in many less democratic countries. It\'s as if those in power don\'t care about the voter at all, since they don\'t seem to care about how free and fair the elections are. The people of Ward 10 and Alberta deserve better.
