Back to the gym.
I belong to a gym. That being said, it\'s been a few months since I\'ve been there. I just got busy and got out of the habit. So I made a decision to go back. I started off easy last week, heading in Tuesday and Thursday to hit the stationary bike. Then this Sunday I went in and did the bike and my weight routine. For the bike, I\'m surprised at how quickly I\'m responding. My endurance has increased each time I\'ve gone in. This is good, of course, and I do expect to plateau soon, requiring more work to go farther. My other surprise was that I was able to handle more weight than I thought I\'d be able to. Not as much as I was handling when I was there last of course, but more than I thought I\'d be able to do.
Another surprising thing is that I\'m not as stiff today (they day after) as I thought I\'d be.
The bad news is, however, that I\'ll be unable to go to the gym this week as I have a curling bonspiel. Admittedly this is exercise and I shouldn\'t worry too much about it, but I don\'t want to get out of the gym habit again. I\'m going to try to go Tuesdays and Thursdays immediately after work, that way I have no excuse, the couch won\'t dig its talons into me.
