Description:
The Hyades are a relatively easy to find cluster, even with the unaided eye in the city. Start with the belt in Orion and move northwest till you find Aldebaran. With the unaided eye you may see a few more stars around Aldebaran forming the distinctive "V" shape of the cluster. The cluster is quite distinct in binoculars and is larger than the field of view for a telescope. |
